Payments: Paypal, checks, cash in person.

Local pickup: Yes. If you are able to come by in person that is still the best way to buy things.

Shipping: USPS, Fedex, UPS. We try to quote actual shipping, there are no additional handling charges or shipping markup.

Export: Sorry, no. Past issues.

Returns: If something is not as we said it would be, then certainly we will pay return shipping and refund or replace. If the item is good, but "not quite what I wanted" then we will ask the buyer to pay shipping both ways. A "free returns no questions asked" policy does sound great, but nothing is free. The cost of packing, handling and shipping is real and is either paid by buyers who choose to return good items or is paid by increased prices for all customers.

Rentals: If you do need to rent something, for example a spare PDP11 board set, ask us. We would much rather agree in advance to rent boards to be used for testing your system rather than to "sell" them only to get them back unexpectedly.

Why is this website so plain? We like to think of it as being free of cruft. It is our ever-so-humble opinion that most websites today are designed to impress other web designers, and maybe the marketing department, but without a care at all for the actual user. Do users really want to be greeted by a blocking popup trying to harvest an email address, then be shown huge but meaningless images that side-slide every second just to ensure distraction from any possible content?

Does "not tested" really mean bad?  No, it means not tested. If we test something and find it bad it gets scrapped, or if it is a rare item possibly set aside to be repaired, or even listed for sale as "known bad". The only thing to be gained by selling defective goods is a bad reputation.
